Jennifer Fritz
Jennifer is excited to join SCC as our new Director. Blending a background of heart and strategy, Jennifer holds a degree in Human Development and joins us recently with 13.5 years of Demand Planning and Category Management experience in the corporate retail setting, managing multi-million to multi-billion dollar businesses, most recently with Lowe’s. While Jennifer loves the organizational development of managing big business, her true passion has always been community advocacy.
Growing up exceptionally close to her grandparents, she developed a deep love for the senior population. She is incredibly passionate about advocacy in late adulthood. Jennifer remains dedicated to ensuring our community members feel supported, valued, and connected.

Volunteer Coordinator
Anita Madalozzo
Anita has volunteered with SCC since 2024 prior to joining the staff of SCC as our new volunteer coordinator in 2025. Anita gained a huge appreciation for senior care while watching her mother’s decline to dementia in 2020. Anita finds the work of Senior Community Connections very rewarding and is very thankful for her experience. Anita is proud to say our members “let you know that you’ve brightened their day and they always brighten mine!”
Anita is a native of North Carolina, and owned a retail clothing store until 2023 in Cornelius. She lives in Cornelius and has two adult sons. The oldest son just made her the proud grandmother of a girl.
She is thrilled to continue to interact and assist all of the great members of the SCC family.

Ava Shelton
Ava joined Senior Community Connections to bridge her passion for occupational therapy with her love for the senior community. As an OT student, Ava’s goal is always to support independence, well-being, and meaningful daily living. Joining SCC allows her to bring that mindset into our local neighborhood, helping foster real relationships, help with engaging activities, and build a vibrant network where older adults can thrive together. In Ava’s free time she loves tending to her plants, hanging with friends and family, and trying new coffee shops and recipes!
